Isochronal

Description

Presently, my work focuses reflectively on the symbolic and metaphorical representation of individual identity constructs.
Identity in this context refers to a personal
conception and expression of the development of a very important part of the human experience that exists infinitely through life.
The theme identity was born out of my fixation on the circular form and the necessity of individual wholeness and the universal human struggle to attain idealistic balance. I choose to use a circle as a representational form as it is a metaphorical cocoon.
The exterior surface of a circle is symbolic of the parts of our identity that are permanent; these are elements or parts of our identity that we cannot necessarily change the nature of. The interior visual space of the circle is representative of the ephemeral parts of identity, which we can change.
